Callum Camps Commits His Future To The Club Until 2020 - News - Rochdale AFC

Two seasons ago, Camps left Rochdale for Fleetwood and I was genuinely shocked. The move didn’t seem to be about playing ambition, but about getting weighed in nicely. Two seasons later, Camps is looking for a new club. He was an exquisite central midfielder, able to craft goals and score them, and I genuinely felt we’d see him play Championship football after his Rochdale departure. He had 13 goal involvements for them in 2019/20, and a season later he had 14 for The Cod Army, including 11 goals from midfield.

He’s 26 now, so would be very much a senior professional, and I think he would a great addition to our team. He’s a creator, and a scorer and he could play the holding role as well. If McGrandles were to go, Callum Camps would be the sort of player who could fill his role, by flitting between holding midfielder and attacking midfield.
