Charlie Colkett – Free Agent

Position – Central Midfield

25-year-old Colkett has just been released by Cheltenham Town, having played just nine times for them after joining on a short term deal. Previously, he’s been in Norway with Ostersunds, and before that he was a Chelsea youth. You might recall me shouting him as a decent player for the Robins before he had a stinker against us, and his record there isn’t the best.

I still think there’s a decent player in here. He’s a central midfielder, usually played in the holding role, and if we were to be interested it would be as backup I think. I just get the impression with his pedigree there’s a player hiding away, and whilst he wouldn’t have me singing from the rooftops, a sustained spell under the right coach could find him developing into the player he’s often threatened to be.
