Yan Dhanda – Free Agent

Position – Attacking Midfield

Dhanda is a former Liverpool youth player who has made 50 senior appearances for Swansea. He’s technically gifted, and still only 23. Plus, he’s been released, so there’s no fee involved for whoever does sign him. His fall from grace with Swansea has been spectacular; he played 26 times for them in the Championship last season, but just three this time out; Russell Martin doesn’t fancy him, just as he doesn’t Morgan Whittaker.

Dhanda is an attacking midfielder, and I think we lacked that last season. Lewis Fiorini played there with some success, but when Maguire sat behind the striker we looked a little toothless. At Dhanda’s age, we might be able to make a good offer with a view to turning a profit, if we can get him on form. Of course, he’s more likely to be heading to a bigger team in our division, such as Bolton Wanderers, but you never know.
