It must have been a time of hope because Accrington and Bristol Rovers were just seven days apart, but it’s another game which makes the top ten. City had to scrap for this one, but beating Joey Barton’s sides is always sweet (I should say ‘was’ as I doubt he’ll get another job now).

The game was a tough one – Ryan Loft was sent off for them, and in the days afterwards, Lewis Montsma was banned for an off-the-ball incident. All of this happened after Regan Poole had given us a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute.

It was certainly not one-sided. Carl Rushworth was named your Man of the Match.
