April – Plymouth Argyle 2-0 (A) 8.14

Another Man of the Match for Lasse and another game that will live long in the memory. Plymouth were top and heading for the Championship, whereas we’d won just two in our previous 11 fixtures. It looked daunting, but for the second season in a row, we turned it on at Home Park.

Mide Shodipo got a quality opening goal for City, Ben House adding a second after the break to dent Plymouth’s title ambitions firmly. As it transpired, they went on to win the league, amassing 101 points, which made this victory even better.

Man of the Match? Lasse Sorensen, who was outstanding again; he scored 9.4. Collectively, the team rated 8.14 and earned the highest rating for a League One match in 2023.
