6. Imps 1-2 Kettering Town 08/09
Another birthday horror show for me. After a nasty 1-1 draw against some pretty horrible supporters, we took Mark Cooper’s Kettering side back to the Bank, where surely Peter Jackson’s Magnificent Seven (plus four) would be able to finish the job.
It looked likely to be the case when Lennell John-Lewis bagged for us, but Craig Westcarr, once of the Imps, levelled on 68 minutes for the Conference side. With extra time beckoning like a rain cloud on a summer’s day, Iyseden Christie brought the bad weather early with a 90th-minute winner.
