3. Chippenham Town 1-0 Imps 22/23
Chippenham were part-time, and for them to beat League One City in 2022 was embarrassing. At the time, it felt like a stumble, but we just couldn’t break down the National League South side.
Against Salford, we had 16 shots. Against Chippenham, we had two. I think that tells the story in itself. This was the game that convinced Mark Kennedy that Freddie Draper wouldn’t make it as a footballer either.
