#2 – Tyler Walker (2019–20)

Forget the injury-plagued second stint — Tyler Walker’s first spell was electric. Nineteen goal involvements in just half a season (14 goals, 3 assists) made him indispensable in a campaign that threatened to unravel after Danny Cowley’s exit. He scored braces against Fleetwood and Ipswich and bagged big goals against Sunderland and Peterborough.
When Forest recalled him in January, City were gutted — they even sent Liam Bridcutt on loan as a makeweight. His second spell didn’t work out, but that shouldn’t overshadow a brilliant first one. For a time, Walker carried City’s attack almost single-handedly.
