#8 – Carl Rushworth (2022–23)

Carl Rushworth might not have been the biggest physically, but he played like a giant. On loan from Brighton, he kept 19 clean sheets in 42 League One games for a Lincoln side that struggled for goals but not for resilience. His shot-stopping was first class, his command of the area impressive, and he had a knack for stepping up when it mattered — even after a red card at Port Vale.
He was rarely caught out and barely put a foot wrong all season. The fact he went on to play 46 games in the Championship for Swansea says it all.
