#4 – Alex Mitchell (2022–23)
A warrior at the back, Alex Mitchell came on loan from Millwall and quickly earned cult status among Imps fans. Whether playing in a back three or four, he was committed, aggressive, and fiercely proud to wear the shirt. He celebrated tackles like goals and connected deeply with supporters.
On the pitch, he improved steadily — especially in distribution — and off it, he was visible, engaged, and, at one point, even pictured on a table in the Shakespeare with a flare. The fact City wanted to sign him permanently says it all. He “got it” — and that counts for a lot.
