Ten Realistic Loan Signings For Lincoln City

Declan Drysdale (Coventry City)

Gillingham sign Coventry City defender Declan Drysdale

Drysdale had two loan spells last season, one at Gillingham and another at Cambridge United, promoted from League Two. He’s a right-sided central defender, but can also play in the holding midfield role. With TJ Eyoma going back to Spurs, we may need defensive cover, especially given the injury record of Joe Walsh and Adam Jackson. Is Drysdale the right sort of fit for us? He doesn’t pass out from the back as much as we have this season, averaging ten fewer passes per game than Joe Walsh this season. However, he is a strong aerial presence and has plenty of experience for a 21-year-old.
