Josef Bursik (Stoke City)

It’s an obvious starter for ten, right? Bursik came here for one game and looked utterly superb, and he’s already had two loan spells in this division. Usually, I’d suggest he would be destined for the next league up, but as Stoke are in the Championship they are unlikely to loan him to a competitor. Stoke did loan Angus Gunn last season and they may choose to stick with Bursik and Adam Davies this year, but if they do seek a player from higher up, we might be the beneficiaries.

After all, now he’s been and seen our setup, worked with the manager and got a feel for the club, a season-long loan could be in the offing. The only stipulation I’d like to see is no recall, as Doncaster loaned him and lost him last season.
