I’ve been keeping a keen eye on retained lists, looking at released players and honestly, it’s a tough market this summer.
The Imps are going to be drilling into specifics – we don’t need wholesale changes, but we do need to add some pace, and maybe cover some departing players. I’m not sure I could confidently say we’ll do that purely with free agents, nor should we expect to. We’ll be in a good position for loans, as well as buying players, as we have with Dom Jeffries and Ethan Hamilton in the past.
That said, there are free players out there, and maybe a bargain or two to be had. So, I’ve been combing Wyscout and looking at possible recruits, coming up with six players I would be happy to see in an Imps shirt next season.
