Six Players Who Could Do a Job For The Imps Next Season

Luca Barrington (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Barrington is an ex-Cod, on loan there this season, and involved in five goals. While he wouldn’t be one who would be an immediate starter, there’s an element of Joe Gardner about him, and he would be a good pick if we missed out on Joe.

Comfortable on either wing or in a central attacking role, Barrington is a technically gifted wide forward who can beat players, create chances, and contribute defensively. His ability to drift inside, combine with teammates, or drive to the byline makes him unpredictable and dangerous in the final third.

While he’s still raw, his tactical intelligence, two-footedness, and work ethic suggest a player on a sharp upward trajectory. Brighton will likely expect a Championship loan next—but if a club like Lincoln could secure him, even temporarily, they’d be getting a high-upside attacking option with genuine Premier League potential.
