An Alternative List of Potential Imps Head Coaches

Nate Miller – San Diego Loyal

I’m surprised that Nate Miller’s name hasn’t appeared on the bookies lists so far. There are so many reasons to put two and two together here, and maybe come up with 22. He wouldn’t be the first coach to come out of the USL to League One – Barnsley’s boss made the same journey.

So, why Miller? There are obvious connections between us and the Loyal, and they’re about to fold, so he will be out of a job. He’ll be known to Landon, a shareholder in our club, but that’s not the reason I’ve added Miller.

There are 24 teams at Loyal’s level, and of those 24 sides, Loyal has the highest xG – 54.48. They also have the highest possession as well, so they play attacking football and are good with the ball. They’re now in the Conference quarter-finals, where they face Phoenix Rising, their ‘local’ rivals (350 miles).

Who knows, maybe Nate Miller is the future of Lincoln City!
