6-4 v Scarborough, Dec 13th, 1930
Brilliant, another unique result, this time seeing us exit the FA Cup against non-league opposition. In fairness, Scarborough had won their first-round match 6-0, so they had form. They lost in the next round, rather gallingly to Grimsby Town, before they won the Midland League. Still, 6-4, a result we’ve only seen once.
Luckily, the rather shameful result didn’t affect us too much – we still finished second in Division Three (North) before lifting the title the next season.
