Djair Parfitt-Williams

The 23-year-old former West Ham man is another who fits the bill closely; he’s the right sort of age and is a free agent after leaving a club from abroad. That might account for the delay, international clearance being needed as Parfitt-Williams is Bermudian. He bgean his career with San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS, but was spotted by the Hammers and lured over to England.

Despite making two Europa League appearances for the Hammers, as well as a brace of outings in the EFL Trophy, he left the club for Slovenian side Rudar Velenje in 2018. He bagged three times in 23 matches, but is currently a free agent.

  1. Speculate away, Gary. As ever, a read as fascinating as the context is baffling. It feels like David Holdsworth all over again. “He’s got two legs. Sign him.”

  2. Blimey! David Holdsworth. That was desperate patching of holes in a sinking ship by a man of many patches. We are now recruiting for a voyage of discovery. Anyway, nice to hear from you Mike!
