It seems to me we share more former players and officials with Mansfield than any other side I can remember. The two ongoing quizzes have proven we seem to pick up their rejects and they grab ours with alarming regularity.
Right now, it is former Stags playing for us that seem to number greater, but then their manager is a former Imp. The links are numerous, but we’ve decided to look at six players who have shared the club colours, three we can thank them for and three perhaps we shouldn’t.
Now, before you crack on, remember this. The list is subjective, so one of the reasons I believe we can thank them you absolutely will not agree with. Also, they took some players from us who did well after playing badly for us; I’ve classed that as a reason to be unhappy with them.
Also, I’m not going to start the Ollie Palmer argument again. I’m just not.
What I sincerely hope you’ll get from this list is discussion, not just a fleeting thought towards me being a bit of a nob. Without further ado, here we go!
