Ten Free Agents that Could (Probably) Do a Job For The Imps

Kieran Sadlier

A West Ham academy graduate and U21 regular, Sadlier left in 2015 to chase senior football and packed a lot into the next decade. After a spring spell at St Mirren, he dipped into the National League with Halifax before rebooting his career spectacularly in Ireland: 49 apps/15 goals at Sligo, then a star turn at Cork City where he won the league-and-cup double in 2017 and coolly buried the decisive penalty in the FAI Cup final. The following season he hit 26 goals with 13 assists across competitions, earning Team of the Year and the rare feat of scoring in every round of the FAI Cup, including the final.

Back in England with Doncaster (2019–20 top scorer, 11 league goals), he stepped up to the Championship with Rotherham, winning the 2021–22 EFL Trophy. A switch to Bolton in 2022 brought more silverware and a productive loan at Leyton Orient as they won League Two.

Most recently at Wycombe, he logged 59 appearances in 2023–24 and reached another EFL Trophy final.
