The Netherlands U21 keeper is a good shout I think, but the evidence is all circumstantial, your honour. At 6ft, he’s a little smaller than we might have gone for usually, and he’s only played a couple of EFL Trophy games at senior level. He was released in June, and is now looking for a new club. He was seventh for number of saves in Premier League 2 last season, from fewer games than all but one of the players above him.
The circumstantial evidence would be this – we signed a Danish keeper having already got a Danish player on the books, and in the past, we’ve signed players from Scotland and Ireland in two, threes and fours. So, why not a Dutch keeper paired with Montsma, to help him settle in.
Also, Leeds and Skubala have the obvious history, so he’s a keeper Michael will know.
Yeah, it’s a long shot, but any fake agent accounts on Twitter trawling for rumours will definitely pick this up!
