We’re now dropping into a list of elite keepers from the Premier League who might skip League Two for their first loan. The first of those is former Arsenal stopper Ovie Ejeheri. He’s a big boy – 6ft 5in tall, which is the sort of physical specimen I feel we might target. He’s had loan spells with Chelmsford and SJK in Finland, and has recently been playing for Arsenal Under 21s. During his time in Finland, he kept nine clean sheets in 14 Veikkausliiga games.
He was released in June, but I think there’s value here. He was fourth for ‘prevented goals’ in Premier League 2 before his release, which points to his quality, and with some first team games in Finland, he does have experience, of sorts.
