8 – Adam Buckley

No need for a ‘who’ here, is there? Arguably one of the worst players to be given a starting squad number, but rather ironically, it wasn’t his Dad that gave him it! He started the 2002/03 season with the number 8, but he didn’t get to see the campaign out.

Curiously, he appeared six times for the club wearing the shirt, scoring the only goal of his Imps career in it. Also, all of those games were at Sincil Bank.

He’s probably better known for how he exited the club.
