5 – Thierry Audel
This one pains me because Audel was quality the first time he played for us. He played 14 times, scored three goals and only finished on the losing side for the Imps on three occasions. His second spell wasn’t quite as good – he played four times, bridging the period that saw Gary Simpson sacked.
To put him in the worst XI feels harsh, but here are our other numbers 5 shirt wearers – Sean Dunphy, Steve Holmes, Paul Morgan, Lee Beevers, Moses Swaibu, Josh Gowling, Andrew Boyce, Hamza Bencherif, Luke Waterfall, Jason Shackell and Adam Jackson. There are some really good defenders in there.
