We’re into the top five now, and talking cup runs. After our early round wins against Barrow and Doncaster, fate handed us what looked like a rubbish draw away at Bristol City. It felt like the end of the road, and the long gap between rounds two and three meant when the game finally crept up on us, it had seemingly lost its allure.

On paper, it looked like a big ask, but City made it look easy on the grass. Matty Virtue crashed home an opener, with Ben House adding a second before half time. The Robins went attacking in the second half, but were knocked off their perch on 49 minutes when Paudie O’Connor added a third. They rallied without providing any real threat, and despite a late consolation, City never looked in any danger.
