2: Plymouth Argyle 1-1 (H) 8.24

I don’t know exactly how this game has got so high in terms of scores. Maybe it’s because we only made one sub, and subs tend to bring the average score down. Maybe it’s because we combined fight and application with some genuinely lovely football, serving up a treat of a game to watch. It could even have been the fact they came to us as League One leaders; either way, a 1-1 draw with Plymouth is your home highlight of the season.
Plymouth took the lead through a thunderous strike, and could perhaps have had a penalty not long after, only for Max Sanders to hammer home a leveller right on half time. The second half was a thrilling encounter, with no goals but plenty of great football from both teams. In the dying embers, it was us, rather than the high-flying visitors, who might have felt hard done by at not winning the game.
