The Peterborough Link – Who’s in the frame?

Jermaine Anderson

Anderson is a rare breed indeed, he’s a Peterborough gem they’ve almost grown themselves and not lifted from somewhere else.

He was released by Arsenal as a 16-year old, but joined up with Posh and has since made 97 appearances, scoring six times. He’s got England honours too, at Under 18 and Under 20 level.

He’s been out on loan at Doncaster this season, but that expires this month and after just one start in League One, it’s unlikely to be extended.

He’s another who prefers to operate through the middle, described as a ‘deep lying playmaker’ who can get on the ball in the middle of the park.

Likelihood: 7/10

This is another one that could be a goer. We do need some legs in the middle of the park, Freck and O’Connor are decent players but will they last the full season without injury? If not, a loan move for Anderson could provide a get out.

He’s 6ft 2in tall as well, so would offer a threat from set pieces as well as helping out the defence. he’d be a top signing for us, make no mistake,
