Idris Kanu

The exciting 19-year old made his name at Aldershot with a series of impressive displays out wide, earning the attention of Arsenal amongst others. he’d previously been an academy player at West Ham United, but turned down a move to Manchester United to sign for Aldershot.

His later joined Peterborough as part of their ‘speculate to accumulate’ policy around National league players, but after 28 outings was farmed out on loan to Port Vale. Neil Aspin hasn’t been able to get the best out of the youngster, he’s made just seven appearances during his loan spell which was terminated today.

Likelihood: 7/10

There’s every chance Kanu is the player we’ve spoken to them about, although I would ask how we knew prior to his recall he’d be going back. Would he offer anything Bernard Mensah hasn’t? Possibly not.
