Huddersfield suffer injury setback with defender sidelined
Huddersfield Town will be without defender Joe Low for around two months after he was forced off with injury, damaging their hopes of a promotion back to the Championship.
The 23-year-old centre back sustained the issue during Town’s 3-2 win at Peterborough United and is expected to miss a significant chunk of the run-in. Low has struggled with recurring calf problems this season, which have now developed into a more serious concern.
Head coach Liam Manning confirmed the extent of the setback while providing a wider injury update.
“Joe’s unfortunately going to be out for a period of time. There’s a little stress response in his bone from the calf issues, so it’s something we have to manage carefully.”
There was more positive news elsewhere, with Sean Roughan, Antony Evans and Jack Whatmough all edging closer to a return, while deadline day signings Bobby Wales and Nik Tzanev could be involved this weekend.
