League One Latest: Reading Man Banned, Huddersfield Town Suffer Promotion Setback

Richardson shuts down Blackburn speculation

Reading FC manager Leam Richardson has moved quickly to dismiss talk of a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Despite reports linking him with the vacant managerial role at Ewood Park, Richardson has confirmed there has been no contact from the Championship club and that he remains fully focused on his work at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Speculation intensified following Blackburn’s decision to part company with Valérien Ismaël after an eight-game winless run, but Reading were swift to push back against the narrative. Richardson has overseen a stabilisation at the club since arriving in October, losing just four league games during that period.

Former Blackburn boss Mark Hughes and ex-Wales manager Chris Coleman have also been mentioned in connection with the role, though Richardson has made it clear he is not part of the conversation.
