Ethan Hamilton – Dundee

Here’s a player I really liked. Ethan didn’t impact us heavily last season due to injury, but when a move to the SPFL popped up, it gave him a chance to rebuild his career. I’m not saying it faltered here; I liked him, but he never seemed to hit the early heights after the injury in his first season.
The 27-year-old is enjoying life north of the border, that’s for sure. He starts every game for them playing holding midfield, rather than the slightly more advanced role we asked of him. He’s bossing it as well, winning 64.9% of his aerial duels in the league, and hitting 86.4% passing accuracy. I’m delighted for him.
Jovon Makama – Norwich City

Our first £1m player arrived in the summer, and off he went to tread the Championship boards, with many doubters still lurking in the Imps’ fanbase.
Ten Championship goals later, I don’t think anyone needs reminding how well he is doing. He was shortlisted for the Player of the Month award recently, and while Norwich are still in the drop zone, his goals have ensured they’re within two wins of 15th.
There is talk of Premier League interest, fees of £10m being bandied about, and that’s great news for us, with an onward financial interest in his development.
