Sam Clucas – Shrewsbury Town

Ah, Sam Clucas. The two-time Imp who still hasn’t got to double figures was a big character last season. I thought his signing was inspired, but after a handful of outings and the goal from a corner at Mansfield, he was allowed to leave. He said his lack of game time killed him, and he wanted to keep playing.
He’s been big for Salop. He’s played more minutes than anyone in the league, 2469, with six goal involvements. His side are 20th, six points off the bottom two, but he’s been a significant player for them.
Ethan Erhahon – Bolton Wanderers

Touted as our first £1m player, he eventually earned himself a six-figure move to Bolton Wanderers. He’s been in and out of the side, starting just 11 of their 26 league matches. Competition is fierce there, but there’s no suggestion that he’s currently reaching the potential we saw in him when we paid around £200,000 for him from St Mirren.
With a single assist in his time in midfield, he’s offering a similar goal threat. His game was never about that, but he’s struggling to make an impression. He hasn’t completed 90 minutes in the league at all for the Trotters.
