Obiero Commits Future to Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient midfielder Zech Obiero has signed a new two and a half year contract with the option of an extra year.

The 20-year-old has made 35 appearances since joining from Tottenham Hotspur at 16 and has featured four times this season. Obiero says he trusts Richie Wellens and his staff to continue developing his game and wants to establish himself across the rest of the campaign.

“I am really happy to have signed a new contract. Leyton Orient means a lot to me and I am grateful for the faith the club has shown. My goal is to become established in the first team and I am doing everything I can to make that happen.”

He scored his only senior goal in a 1-1 draw against Colchester in last season’s Vertu Trophy and remains considered one of Orient’s most promising young assets.
