Port Vale Defender Admits Change Is Needed After Latest Defeat
Port Vale defender Connor Hall says the squad remain united but accepts that improvements must come quickly after a 1-0 defeat at Lincoln left Vale bottom of the table.
The Valiants have taken three points from their last eight league matches and have scored only once since 11 October, with limited attacking output again highlighted at the LNER Stadium. Hall revealed that a team meeting last week has helped refocus the group, though the need for goals is now pressing.
“We are still together. A lot of teams could crumble, but we definitely have not got that in our group. Something has to change. We have to produce something whether that is a cross or a clean strike on the ball.”
Vale now face Barnsley in the EFL Trophy and Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup before returning to league duty against high flying Bradford.
