Craig Rocastle

Craig Rocastle was a cousin of the late David Rocastle and he signed to bolster our push for a play-off spot in late 2004. His opportunities were limited to two substitute appearances in a 1-1 home draw with Kidderminster and a 3-0 win at Spotland, Rochdale.
He began his career in non-league football before a surprise move to Chelsea in 2003. Although he never made a first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge, he gained valuable Football League experience on loan, first at Barnsley and then at Lincoln City. He joined the Imps in March 2004 but featured only twice as a substitute before returning to Chelsea at the end of his brief spell.
He subsequently moved to Scotland with Hibernian, where he played 13 times in the SPL, before returning south to sign permanently for Sheffield Wednesday in 2005. Rocastle helped the Owls secure promotion via the League One play-offs that year, and later had spells with Yeovil Town, Oldham Athletic and Port Vale.
After a short time at Gillingham, he played abroad with Greek side Thrasyvoulos, and later returned to England for stints at Welling United, Dover Athletic and Forest Green Rovers. In 2010 he signed for Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City, making 29 appearances across two seasons, and briefly featured for Missouri Comets in the indoor league. A second spell with Thrasyvoulos followed before he retired.
Born in England, Rocastle qualified for Grenada through his father and represented them 12 times between 2010 and 2012, scoring once in a draw with French Guiana. He also played at the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, featuring against Jamaica.
