Tom Bayliss – 9th

If you weren’t too surprised about McGrandles position, how about this – Tom Bayliss is the ninth best midfielder in the division as things stand. I’m delighted about this, as I think Tom is another who is underrated for us. That’s epitomised by the weekend’s game – lots of the analysis centred on our midfield not getting control of the game, but across all of the numbers, our pairing is the second best in the division.
How so? Only Wycombe have players higher than us – Leahy is above both, while Jamie Mullins is between Bayliss and McGrandles. Doncaster, with Owen Bailey above both and George Broadbent in tenth, also have a good pairing.
For the record, Bolton have three in the top 22 (as far down as it goes), but none of them come from Glasgow.
