Top 10 Imps – Which Lincoln City Players Are Top Of The League In Their Position?

Conor McGrandles – 7th

There is a line in one of my favourite dance tracks from the nineties, Ebenezer Goode, which says he (well, the drug ecstasy, but I didn’t understand that at the time) is ‘very much maligned and misunderstood’. Not wanting to directly compare McGrandles to a class A drug, but I feel he is also very much maligned and misunderstood.

Why? He’s the seventh-best defensive midfielder in League One on the balance of stats this season. Ahead of him are the likes of Lewis Wing, Jamie McDonnell (a player the SW identified and who I believe was on an Imps’ list), Luke Leahy and Herbie Kane. Big names in the division, which only underlines McGrandles’ big impact.
