Subs
Josh Vickers

It could be argued Vickers was the first in a long line of excellent keepers we’ve had at the Bank, and he’s gone on to better things. Released at the end of the 2019/20 season in favour of loanee Alex Palmer, he moved to Rotherham United.
After a couple of seasons at the New York Stadium he moved to Derby County, where he has since appeared a handful of times in the Championship.
Sam Habergham

Habergham was a likeable left back and an unused sub against Luton. He was coming back from an injury, but it was one he never really recovered from. He did appear for most of the season, but succumbed to injury after we beat Colchester United 2-1.
He didn’t play for us after that, indeed he didn’t appear between April 2018 and January 2021, when he attempted a comeback with Grimsby Town. Spells with Wealdstone and Woking followed, before he retired. He can now be found as a pundit on Imps+.
Rob Dickie

Dickie was another unused sub, a player who joined us on loan from Reading with a strong reputation. He always looked confident, but was kept out by Waterfall and Raggett. He played his final Imps game at Kenilworth Road, before a loan spell with Oxford.
Since then he’s spent his career in the Championship, making 113 starts at that level for QPR, and now 77 (and counting) for Bristol City.
Elliott Whitehouse

Arguably scored the most important goal of the season as we won the EFL Trophy at Wembley, but Elliott Whitehouse was always on the fringes of the Imps’ squad. At the end of the season, he moved to Grimsby, but suffered a campaign-ending injury before he’d got started.
He’s had a few clubs since – Forest Green, Scunthorpe and Chester City, and is currently on loan with Peterborough Sports.
