Josh Ruffels left Huddersfield Town upon the expiry of his contract in summer 2025. He spent three seasons at the club, making more than 80 league appearances, mostly at left-back. Before that, Ruffels spent eight years with Oxford United, where he established himself as a consistent and versatile performer in League One.
Ruffels only played 21 times for the Terriers last season, but is an established player at this level, having turned out for Oxford United 257 times between 2013 and 2021. At 31, he’s no spring chicken, but again, it’s not the sort of age that would put us off as we hunt a left back.
