Lincoln City Top Goal Scorers Of 21st Century

Forrester oozed class, coming from a good youth setup and having played at a decent level.

A diminutive striker with a lethal finish, he was one of the few forwards who could create something out of nothing. As he came to us at the end of his career, you’d expect some fall off, but no, he was still as brilliant as ever, using an acute football brain to make up for any loss of pace.

He wasn’t lightning quick, but he read the game brilliantly and had a poacher’s instinct. His 35 league goals are a testament to his quality—and to the joy he brought supporters from his debut, thrashing Grimsby, to his final appearances under Peter Jackson.

2nd. Simon Yeo – 84 starts, 50 sub, 42 goals

It’s mad to think three of these players often featured up front at the same time. Francis Green and Gary Taylor-Fletcher were good, but in terms of goals, Yeo tops the pile—and rightly so. The story’s well known: ex-taxi driver turns match-winner in play-off campaigns under Keith Alexander. But the stats don’t lie either—42 league goals from 134 appearances, many off the bench. He was a warrior on the pitch, full of passion, and capable of striking in the biggest moments.

There’s a reason he remains a folk hero to this day.
