One of the standout players during the behind-closed-doors era, Scully was electric when in full flow. Capable of scoring from range or curling in wonder efforts after cutting inside, he hit 25 league goals in just 85 outings—a terrific return from a wide player.
He bagged more goals in cup matches, and ended up earning a six-figure move into the Championship. He’s one of the standout scorers of the EFL era, and a player who was a joy to watch when in full flow.
6th Gary Taylor-Fletcher – 77 starts, 3 sub, 26 goals
Unpredictable and at times unstoppable, Taylor-Fletcher was one of those players who didn’t fit a mould but found ways to make things happen. Was he a striker or a wide man? Should he have played a ten? Was he ever truly suited to Keith’s direct style?
Who cares. His 26 league goals at City helped him climb the football pyramid all the way to the Premier League. Capable of the sublime and the chaotic in equal measure, he was never dull—and always dangerous.
