2. Luke Plange

Where to begin? Plange was our number one target in January 2023. We even offloaded Tom Hopper to create space, to convince a striker they’d get game time. Hell, he even took the number nine shirt. But the Palace forward delivered… nothing. No goals. No shots of note. No real involvement. The phrase “anonymous” doesn’t do justice to how invisible he was.
He never looked like scoring, and some games, didn’t look like a footballer at all. Of course, he’s since scored one of his two league goals against us, somehow, but wasn’t particularly succesful at Carlisle either. He’s a player with promise, but he hid it well at the Bank.
