This afternoon had everything for me. I wasn’t there. I had my Dad over for a Christmas dinner to celebrate his getting the all-clear from cancer, and it was days before I went on my honeymoon. It was a special time for me, and those special times are usually tainted by a 1-0 defeat at home by a relegation-haunted side. Instead, we went to a play-off chasing Oakwell and registered our third victory in as many trips.
It wasn’t just a win, though; it was a hammering, with Jack Moylan emerging as the star of the show. The young Irish attacker is making a real name for himself at present, and it really started here.
