I’m not trying to be edgy or cool when I pick this game over the 6-0 Cambridge win, or 5-0 Bristol Rovers thrashing, but in this game, we were outstanding. It is still the best I have seen a Skubala side play, and I suspect, if you ask Michael, he will say the same.
Shrewsbury were not great, granted, but we could have had five. The football flowed freely, and it was an early indication of the magnificent month that was to follow shortly. What is interesting is we drew the next game 0-0 with Stevenage, and it looked like that might have cost us a play-off place.
