2021/22
Hit – Brooke Norton-Cuffy
Miss – Liam Cullen
Window Rating – 7/10

Seven players arrived last winter, a move that has since been acknowledged as being over and above our budget to ensure we stayed in League One. Four were permanent deals; John Marquis, Jordan Wright, Ben House and Charley Kendall. You couldn’t label the last three as hits or misses, as they’ve only had a season, but all three have had some impact, whether with us (House and Wright) or back out on loan (Kendall). John Marquis, whilst not great after his first few matches, did give us a spark that got us going in front of goal, so whilst he wasn’t a hit in my eyes, he did his bit.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy was excellent for City, and the fact he was acknowledged at the end-of-season awards testifies to that. Morgan Whittaker had goal involvements, and despite not being a fan favourite (he was booed on the pitch by some morons), I thought he did enough with us to be classed as a hit. That leaves Liam Cullen, an unlucky lad who just couldn’t buy a goal. He had the chances, Cambridge at home in particular, but he never looked like he was physically able to compete in League One.
