Steve Seddon

Bit of a cheat here, Steve Seddon isn’t actually a free agent, and may not be at all. He’s at Birmingham and is out of contract this summer, but it is likely that he’ll get a new deal. If he doesn’t, then Lincoln City should be right at the head of the queue. Why? Firstly, he is versatile, able to play at full-back on either side, although primarily on the left. I know we have a couple of decent lads there already, but Seddon is up there with Edun and Bramall in my eyes. Secondly, he was a key player on loan at Wimbledon, thus already proven at this level, and he is one who could earn a club a fair bit of wedge. The only downer is that he is 23, so we wouldn’t get him free.

Dan Crowley is also out of contract at Brum, although they have an option on his deal so will likely activate that. However, he is one who impressed me for Hull on loan earlier in the season. If he’s a free agent, he’d be another great signing.
