Henri Lansbury
I can’t recall who I spoke to this season, but it was a player who cited Henri Lansbury as one of the best footballers he’d ever played with. Lansbury is 30 now, and has endured a fairly torrid time over the past few seasons. He had five years at Forest, then moved to Villa, a club he quit in January to sign short term with Bristol City. They’ve now cut him loose and I see a Liam Bridcutt figure here. He was with Arsenal as a youngster and played on loan at West Ham, Norwich and Scunthorpe United. I think he’s going to want a club that play him, most of the time, where he can finish his career on a high. He only needs to ask Liam Bridcutt, a former Forest teammate, all about us.
