What is it the youth say when they make a statement and they feel there’s no comeback? Don’t even @ me? Well, Brennan Johnson is a contender for Player of the Season, don’t even @ me.

It stands to reason if Grant is a contender with his goals and assists, Johnson has to be with 10 goals and four assists. Of his ten goals, only one has been a penalty, not that scoring a penalty is to anyone’s detriment, but it points to his contribution from open play. He’s been moved around plenty, played out wide and through the middle, and I don’t think he’s let us down at all. It’s reported he’s worth £10m – I’m not sure about that, but I am sure he has a great future in the game. His performance have been exciting to watch, not least the way he dismantled MK Dons with his pace and awareness. The boy can finish too, and remember he’s only 19.
