George Lewis
George Lewis has been described as ‘outstanding, but raw‘ and like the others, has EFL Trophy experience this season. The 20-year-old was born in Rwanda and played in Norway before securing a surprise move to Arsenal in the summer, around the same time as our former prospect Tim Akinola. He never played youth football at an international level and has spent the past few years with third-tier sides Tromsdalen and Fram Larvik in Norway. Think about him like this – a Rwandan-born Remy Howarth, earning his stars and a big move on the back of his merit and application. He is more of an out-and-out winger rather than a centre forward, and that lack of versatility might be one reason we wouldn’t sign Lewis. However, we have had Arsenal lads before and there is every chance they are the sort of club we would revisit looking for talent to push us into the Championship.
