Lincoln City’s Early January Signing – Who Could It Be?

Morgan Rogers

Manchester City could make Rogers most expensive 16 year-old in England - BeSoccer

The blue side of Manchester has seen our setup first hand recently, and Rogers has the added attraction of being a former West Brom man too. He fits the bill on two counts and, like Elanga, has appeared in the EFL Trophy this season. Man City have bowed out to Tranmere Rovers already, and if Man City want Rogers to get experience then a loan spell would be a wise option. He is an attacker, having played predominately on the left in his career, but he can also play behind the forwards or on the right – think Brennan Johnson. He is laden with honours at England youth level, from Under 15 to Under 18, where he’s scored 20 times in 37 matches. He’s fleet-footed, quick and tricky, but can score too. There are huge comparisons between him and Johnson and, just for a moment, imagine him on one flank and Johnson on the other. Frightening.
