Right Wing – Nathan Arnold

I’ve noticed a theme amongst these players; many of my picks have since recieved some criticism for the way they left the club. I know a few fans didn’t like the way Nathan dropped away from the first team picture, although I’d argue that few understood the complex nature of this unique man.
Away from that though, I’ve included Nathan for the 2016/17 season. I feel his arrival really signalled our intent and set a precedent for the future signings. Let’s be honest; he could have played Football League for Grimsby and we were so fortunate to get him. He was a senior professional in that squad and set the bar early on with his goal against North Ferriby.
As his personal issue set in perhaps, just perhaps, his performances dipped, but not a level where he was no longer effective. Still, his goals in fixtures before the FA Cup run set us up for the title hunt and shouldn’t be under-estimated.
Then there’s Ipswich at home. Seriously, how could I go for anyone else on the right wing when he scored that goal? Maybe, if he’d done nothing else all season, I could have been tempted to look elsewhere, but the goal against Gateshead was huge as well, not forgetting critical efforts against Braintree, Boreham Wood, Aldershot and Tranmere.
One player that is always massively over looked is Adrian Pătulea he only scored about 17 goals I think 12 in the league but the manager at the time Peter Jackson normally played him as a sub for 20-30 minutes.
Adrian scored more goals per minute on the pitch than any other player of all time for Lincoln.
But he may not be classed as this decade as it was 2009.
Obviously you would have to include Yeo but not sure if the two would be suited to play together in this formation.
He didn’t play last decade though mate
